Our Kampong Days

Our Kampung Days

Eunos Town Day is an annual event where Eunos residents converge at a carnival and the Member of Parliament would have a dialogue session with the residents.

It was headed by Eunos Zone ‘3’ RC in 2007. This year, Eunos Zone ‘5’ and ‘6’ RC headed the project.

Zone ‘3’ RC members helped out at the popcorn and candy floss stall. There were also free massaging services provided by the youth group and free haircut services.

During the dialogue session with Mayor Zainul Abidin Rasheed, Senior Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and Adviser to Eunos Grassroots Organisations, many residents showed concerns over the looming recession. These questions were all answered by Mayor Zainul.

Over 200 Eunos residents and friends from the Elderly Home had a great bonding session on a bright Sunday morning.

Other than enjoying good food, they also got to meet their neighbours and get to foster new friendships. Some lucky residents also won some prizes from the Bingo Game.

Mayor Zainul Abidin Rasheed, Senior Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and Adviser to Eunos Grassroots Organisations, graced the event as Guest-of-Honour.

The event is jointly organised by Eunos Citizens’ Consultative Committee (CCC), Zone ‘2’, ‘3’ & ‘5’ Residents’ Committees (RCs), Lions Club of Singapore Eunos & Punggol, Bedok Reservoir Merchants’ Association and supported by North East Community Development Council (CDC).
