Chinese New Year Gathering (Shin Min Daily)

Chinese New Year Gathering (Shin Min Daily)

More than a thousand people enjoyed their Chinese New Year dinner at Eunos Zone ‘3’ RC’s Chinese New Year Gathering. This is an annual event organised by the RC to not only celebrate the coming of a new year, but also to bring neighbours together for bonding.

Organising Chairman Francis Fong Shoon Sheow started roping in sponsors as early as September last year. After setting the record-breaking target of 100 tables, the committee worked hard and met often to ensure that they achieved the target. On 7 February 2009, the dream was realised!

The committee would like to send its heartfelt thanks to Senior Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Mayor of North East CDC and Adviser to Eunos GROs Mayor Zainul Abidin Rasheed, who was also the Guest-of-Honour for the event.

130 senior citizens from Lions Home for the Elders (Bedok Home) enjoyed their dinner, sponsored by various donors who were roped in by the Organising Chairman.
